Double yellow lines.

The end of South Street has double yellow lines on it but people are constantly parking here to go to the cash point or to the local supermarket. As well as illegally parked cars there are lots of large lorries that use this road to drop off deliveries to the supermarket. The road is quite narrow and it makes turning into or out of the road very dangerous. The lorries have to try to negotiate these badly parked cars, and residents have to negotiate both! Drive ways are often blocked and no care or consideration is given to the residents of the properties by these nuisance parkers. The worse times are in the morning from 7am -9.30am and the early evening 4.30pm - 6.30pm. What's more annoying is at these times the car park a short distance away is free to use. This problem has been persistent since we moved to the area earlier this year.
The reply to my issue was: traffic wardens patrol the area, and otherwise not much more you can do. whilst traffic wardens have patrolled the area never at the key times i highlighted, and it would also be nice if advice was given on how to deal with the problem. if local residents had the power to do something it'd be much more helpful
