Blocked vehicle access due to parking

Reported via desktop anonymously at 15:19, Sunday 24 January 2021

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Every evening vehicles are double parked in several places along the length of wheatsheaf drive.. there is know way a fire engine and at times even an ambulance could make it to the far end of the road. In this current situation with covid this is unacceptable. God forbid we or my neighbours ever have a house fire or require emergency medical care. This has been happening over the last two years as the number of parked vehicles has increased in the evenings. Please help rectify this soon as it’s only a matter of time before something tragic occurs

  • Still loads of double parking, mainly vans parked up. No consideration of emergency vehicle access

  • Well the vans are increasing in number and are all to often parked on opposite kerbs and on bends. So not only is the road now too narrow to get a fire engine etc down, you are also now unaware of potential oncoming vehicles because you cannot see round the numerous bends. Can a sign not go up or something.
