Request for tree preservation order
Reported anonymously at 18:22, Mon 3 February 2020
Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council 41 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1977093.
I wish to apply for a preservation order for an oak tree I planted in my garden in 1976 struck from an acorn my young son picked up in Bramfield Woods near where we live. The tree is now a beautiful healthy tree about about 8m tall at the edge of my garden and is an environmental asset on a housing estate where trees are few and far between. Also, the tree has a special significance to my wife and me, as my young son (8 years) died a few months after planting the acorn.

I have had no response whatsoever from the arboriculture people at the Council, no idea what's going on and why it's taking so long, however I assume it's something to do with Covid-19.

Still nothing, nobody has contacted me, perhaps its the Covid that's to blame.
