The public bins are overflowing

Reported anonymously at 10:04, Mon 11 September 2017

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

The public bin at the end of Dowsetts lane and further up the old a10 towards st Edmunds are overflowing. Would it be possible for the bin men to clear them please. As it's a rural area it's important that this doesn't spill out and allow animals to get to it. Plus it looks really unsightly.

  • It took over two weeks for the bins to be emptied. They were left so long that they overflowed and animals then tore open the bags and rubbish that had fallen all over the floor. I went out myself and cleaned this mess up. I think its fair to say that the councils response to this was very poor. Considering the lack of anything in this area that the council actually has a to maintain I would have expected a quicker response.
